Born Brooke Allison Adams in Odessa, Texas in 1986, Brooke was an accomplished singer at an early age. In 1997 she won 4 gold medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts in the categories Gospel, Country, Broadway and Adult Contemporary.
In 2000, the president of record label 2KSounds Michael Blakey heard a song on her website and asked her to audition. At the age of 14 she was signed to Virgin Records/2KSounds. She was among the first artists to be marketed as a product of the Internet. Her first single "The Kiss Off (Goodbye)" had an Internet theme and peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. She released a full length self-titled album that received mixed reviews and had somewhat disappointing sales.
