1) Advocate is an american band from Providence, USA, playing blazingly fast thrashy hardcore mixed with plenty of grind. Featuring members of Backstabbers Inc., the band was once reviewed in a zine written in Spanish language, it said something about pit bulls and testicles. 2) Advocate is a melodic death metal band from Decatur, IL. They were formed in 2004 under the name Life Equals Zero. In mid-2006, after their vocalist left to pursue other projects, their bassist also left the band. After replacing their drummer, they changed their name to Advocate. They played shows without a vocalist or bassist for well over a year, before deciding on full-time replacements.
